Overview
Kathmandu Valley is the cultural, commercial and administrative center of Nepal. The valley comprises three medieval Malla principalities-Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. In the medieval time, these three principalities maintained very fierce rivalry and fought several wars but also contended one another in building temples, palaces and development of arts and architectures; many of them still exist with all charm and glories and have been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. You will visit the temples, palaces, stupas and monasteries of the three cities and also take an excursion to Nagarkot- a famous destination for the views of Himalayan Panorama. Nagarkot lies 20 miles (32km) north east of Kathmandu at an elevation of 2000m ( 6560 ft). Nagarkot is famous for Himalayas and country panorama.

Check in hotel and after some rest, take a guided tour of 2000 years old, legendary Swayambhunath Stupa , also nick-named as "Monkey Temple" . From here, drive into the city center to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old capital of Nepal where you can see the old Royal Palace complex and a number of temples. Walk through the narrow streets of Indrachowk and Asan vibrant with the activities of vendors and buyers. In the evening, you are invited by our representative for a "Welcome Dinner'" which is organized in a typical Nepali restaurant where you will also observe folk dances of Nepal performed by young men and women in different ethnic costumes.

After breakfast, around 08.30 am, you will set out on tour of the day and visit Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of sacred Bagmati River which is also one of the tributaries of holy Ganges. You can also have chance to see the Hindu cremation services on the ghats of the Bagmati River . From here continue to Boudhanath Stupa , the biggest Buddhist stupa architecture in the world! The stupa is believed to be one of the "must visit" site for all Buddhists in their life time. Bhaktapur served as the capital of United Nepal before it split in to three ( Kathmandu , Patan and Bhaktapur) in the mid 14 th century.
From here, we leave Bhaktapur behind and head towards Nagarkot, the road passing through the villages, terraced farmlands. If it’s a clear weather day, you will be already greeted by gleaming Himalayan Peaks. Check in deluxe resort and enjoy the views and vistas from the terraces of the resort. The journey retraces till the ring road and takes left turn from the junction.
Patan is famed as the City of Arts and Crafts . Visit the Durbar Square area where you will visit the main courtyard of the palace, Krishna Temple , Golden temple and many others. Walk along the narrow streets of Patans, abundant with craft shops, silver jewelries, and sounds of hammers and chisel from the craft work-shops.
