Accommodations and facilities
There are limited choices of accommodations in Bhutan and Tibet. Except a few exceptions of highly over priced international chain properties, majority hotels in Bhutan are small with 15-20 rooms. Our preferred hotels are locally managed small properties with traditional Bhutanese decor and friendly hospitality and ensures adequate comfort. You will have en suite bathroom with 24 hour running hot and cold water. There may be disparity in the rooms and travelers of the same group may end up in two different types of rooms although you have paid the same amount. They provide some fundamental toiletry supplies but hair dryers, iron and ironing board etc may not be available. Hotels in Paro and Thimphu do have internet access in office or reception areas.
Comparing to Bhutan, there are more options in Tibet but we use mid range properties in Tibetan areas of Barkhor. Our choices of hotels are with Tibetan décor and managed by Tibetan and staffed with friendly locals. All hotels do provide private bathroom with 24 hour running hot and cold water but sometime, hot water supply may be disrupted due to power outage. Nepal has the most options so as for accommodations and our preferred properties are 5 star Yak N Yeti Hotel, part of which was a former palace, centrally located and offers all modern amenities.
Hotel listed on the itinerary are suggestions only. Confirmed list of hotels are provided along with the final trip dossier about 7-8 weeks prior the trip date. We will do our best to get the preferred hotels but they are being small properties, we may not always get rooms in them and we will accommodate you in alternative hotels and your understanding is very important.

Our Tour Guides are local individuals with college degree, government certification, experienced and with knowledge on the destination, history, culture and religion and most importantly they are easy going, detailed oriented, patient and high level of customer service skills. Depending on group size, we will use Japanese made Sedan cars, SUVs or minivan for entire transfers and tours
