Bhutan’s King to marry in October!

King Jigmey Gesar Wangchuk, 31, of Bhutan announced his marriage with Jetsun Pema, 21, a student of Regents College, London, UK.
As per Kuenselonline.com, the king made this announcement on Friday, 20th May, 2011 towards the end of his address at the inauguration of the seventh parliament session, which was attended by royal family members, government officials, representatives of international organizations, students and the public.
“Many will have their own idea of what a Queen should be like – that she should be uniquely beautiful, intelligent and graceful. Elvis Presley looking youngest king of the present world said “I cannot say how she might appear to the people.” And after a brief pause he added, “But to me, she is the one,”
Jetsun Pema, 21, a student of Regents College, London, UK, and second eldest among four siblings, is the daughter of Dhondup Gyaltshen, the grandson of Trashigang dzongpon Dopola and Sonam Chuki of the Bumthang Pangtey family. She did her high school education in Lawrence School of Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh, India. She was seen accompanying the king on royal entourages around the country in recent months.
